How Much to Wrap a Kitchen?

The range you choose, how many surfaces you’re covering, and the size of your kitchen decide what it costs to wrap it.

We don’t put a fixed number on any of that until we’ve seen photos of your cabinets and worktops. This means you get an honest quote, every time.

This guide walks through each of those factors, from vinyl wrap thickness to guarantee length.

It also covers how we turn your photos into an accurate estimate, without ever needing to step through your front door first.

Wrapping costs less than a full renovation

Ripping out a kitchen and starting again means new kitchen units, new worktops, and often new flooring and plastering once the old tiles come off. The trades needed to fit it all add to that.

Wrapping works with your existing kitchen instead.

Your existing cabinets stay exactly where they are.

We prepare the surface, apply the vinyl wrap, and refit everything, so you get a modern look without the cost of a full kitchen renovation.

It’s a cost-effective alternative for anyone whose kitchen is structurally sound but visually tired.

Compared to replacement, wrapping also avoids the high price tag that comes with new appliances, replumbing, and rewiring, since none of that needs to move.

If your layout works and your cabinets are solid, replacing kitchen units entirely isn’t necessary just to get a different look.

What determines the cost of wrapping

Two things drive the cost of wrapping kitchen surfaces more than anything else: the range you pick and how many surfaces you want covered.

Labour costs and any additional costs for detailed edges or awkward access sit on top of those two.

They add less to the total than the range and surface count, though picking finishes carefully at each stage helps keep costs manageable.

The range you choose

We offer three ranges, each built to a different material quality for different surfaces, with a guarantee length to match.

Many kitchens end up on the Signature range. Its 150 to 250 micron film carries a 7-year guarantee against fading, cracking and delamination.

It’s the range we recommend often, and for good reason too. It is thick enough to handle moderate curves, coving and the daily contact a busy kitchen’s cabinets and drawers deal with

If your kitchen sees light use, Classic is the budget-friendly entry point. Its 100 micron vinyl carries a 3-year guarantee against fading and cracking, suited to flat surfaces like end panels and kickplates, not worktops.

For worktops and other heavy-wear surfaces, Luxury is the only range built to cope. Its 200 to 370 micron premium architectural vinyl carries a 10 to 12 year guarantee against fading, cracking and delamination, plus heat resistance and moisture resistance.

We always take the time to understand your kitchen’s usage and style preferences before recommending a wrapping option.

How many surfaces you’re wrapping

A kitchen door here and there costs less than wrapping every cupboard, drawer front, end panel and worktop in the room.

The difference between those two jobs is considerable.

Some customers wrap doors and worktops together for a full transformation. Others start with cabinets or worktops alone and leave the rest for later.

Splashbacks, cornicing and kickplates all add to the total too.

Pricing for these tends to be worked out per door or per linear metre, rather than as one flat cost per kitchen.

None of the exact surfaces or the range needs deciding before you get in touch.

Tell us roughly what you’re thinking and we’ll talk you through what’s realistic for your budget.

Getting an accurate estimate from Wrap Wizard

The most reliable way to find out your kitchen wrapping cost is to send us photos.

A few clear shots of your cabinets, worktops and any awkward corners tell us far more than a description alone. The more photos you send, the more accurate your estimate will be!

From there, we put together a no-obligation quote based on what we can see. That covers the number of doors and surfaces, the condition of what’s there now, and which range suits the wear those surfaces get.

Once you’re happy with the quote, one of our local tradespeople visits with physical samples of the finishes on offer.

You can see and feel the material before committing to anything. Professional installation is then booked in to complete the project.

This whole wrapping process is built to remove guesswork.

It’s a practical solution instead of a rough guess. You get numbers based on the photos of your actual kitchen and worked out by hand.

Common questions about kitchen wrapping cost

Is kitchen wrapping worth it?

For a kitchen that’s structurally sound but looks dated, yes. The benefits of kitchen wrapping include a genuine transformation and a proper guarantee, at a lower cost than replacing everything that isn’t actually broken.

Is it more affordable to respray or wrap a kitchen?

Both sit below full replacement, but they’re not equivalent. Spraying covers the surface with paint, which shows wear faster and has no guarantee behind it in most cases. Wrapping bonds a proper architectural film to the surface, backed by a written guarantee that matches the range you choose.

How long does kitchen wrapping last?

That depends entirely on the range. Classic carries a 3-year guarantee, Signature a 7-year guarantee, and Luxury a 10 to 12 year guarantee. Signature and Luxury also cover delamination, alongside fading and cracking.

Can you wrap kitchen worktops?

Yes, using our Luxury range specifically, which is built from architectural vinyl wrapping material. Its heat-resistant, scratch-resistant surface handles the wear and tear worktops take daily, in a way Classic and Signature aren’t designed for.

Can I wrap my kitchen cabinets myself?

You can, though the results depend heavily on preparation and experience. You can hire a professional tradesperson instead, and get a guarantee DIY work doesn’t carry, since our professional services back the finish.

Maintaining a wrapped kitchen

A wrapped kitchen is easy to maintain.

Soapy water and a soft cloth handle everyday marks. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive scourers to keep the finish looking new for longer.

Unlike basic laminate, which can peel or lift at the edges over time, a properly maintained wrap holds its finish for years.

Proper care matters more on busy kitchens, where worktops and handled doors see the most contact. Match the range and guarantee to how the room actually gets used day to day.
